Big River: Big river beach is the largest beach in Mendocino. From the beach there is a hiking trail that follows the river for 8 miles!
Portugese Beach and Mendocino Headlands State Park: A smaller beach, but a local favorite just off the Mendocino Headlands Trailhead. Very close to the house.

Catch-A-Canoe: Perfect for a day on Big River.

Cafe Beaujolais: A renowned french restaurant for a nice lunch or dinner out.

Corners: This local health-food store is built in an old church with beautiful stained glass and all the healthy offerings one could want.
